The Adventures of Huckleberry is a novel about the search for freedom embodied in the characters of the teenage boy, Huck, and the runavvay slave, Jim. İt highlights the hypocrisy betvveen Huck's longing for freedom and that of Jim. Huck escapes from societal constraints and his father who holds him captive. His escape is regarded as reaso-nable and even right, while Jim's flight from bondage is illegal and indeed vievved as morally wrong. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is one of the widely-read vvorld classics as it questions societal norms and prompts one to make decisions about what is right and just, or what is not.
